I got a message from Hapa a little earlier today, saying that he’s supposed to be judging the Mai Tai battle this week in Long Beach, but he’ll be out of town, and asked me to fill in.  So… Come on down and hang out.  I’ll be one of the judges for the battle.  Its no cover, and when I went a couple weeks ago, the DJ talent was pretty damn cool.  Shout out to the homies VER5E and ImageFTW for competing the other week.

Another Sugar Foot Friday at Verdugo Bar.  This time we’ll be celebrating the birthday of the man who started Sugar Foot at Verdugo bar, Hey Mesa.  He’s hand picked a line up of DJs to bring the proper vibes.

I’ve been involved with Scratch DJ Academy for close to two years now.  Before I got there, I thought… “a school for DJing??  Really?!?!”  Then when I saw the classes, it all made sense.  Now I teach classes myself.  So to show that we’ve got some quality DJs coming out of there, I decided to bring along two of our graduates this week.  Come on by!  It’ll be good and funky time as always.

In case you didn’t already know, Sugar Foot is now every Friday at Verdugo Bar.  So on any given Friday, you’ll catch Hey Mesa, Dark Alley, Bad Knews, or myself.  I’ll be there this week with a guest DJ.  I’m bringing along DJ Hapa, from my Scratch LA Family.  Come on out for some good vibes, and good music!!!  I also share my drink tokens.

My co worker Mauricio showed me this. I ended up watching some of their other videos. Pretty funny stuff.

We’re all pretty proud of this one! I met Chief and Vise Versa years ago from the homie Downlow. A while back we got to talking about doing a music video. We did one for a different song (which we still have on file), but when we came up with the ideas for this one, we got to work. I produced, directed, and edited it myself. I shot a little bit of it, but had a lot of help from Res, Denkym, and Rodney. All music guys who happen to be nice with a camera too, so I knew we were in good hands on that end. Thanks to Cygnet too for making sure that we didn’t get hit by trains, and to Downlow for a couple of the locations. I can go on and on about this one, but I’ll keep it short.
